Meet Patience Heyl
Resident Artist at the famous 5 star Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO since 1999. Owner of The Fine Art Atelier in Taos, New Mexico. Artist/Instructor Figure and Landscape study in painting and drawing Oil, Watercolor, and Pastel/charcoal
Inspired by light and the poetry of nature, Patience captures an essence in her work that speaks louder than paint . Known for her versatility and refusal to put limitations on herself, she displays a wide body of work from brush to palette knife. Compositions range from landscape, still life, to figure painting. If there is a message to share, you will find that voice on her canvas.
Patience's work has been purchased by The Navigators at Glen Eyrie in Colorado Springs and hangs proudly in The United States Headquarters building. Patience's art work has been juried and accepted by Oil Painters of America.
Patience maintains her title as Resident Artist for the 23rd year at the famous Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. Patience founded Art On Location which serves corporate groups and individuals with instruction in the fine art of Oil and Watercolor painting.
Versatile in both watercolor and oil, Patience is included in private collections within the United States, Mexico, and Europe. Her hotel paintings are exclusively sold through the Signature Shop all located on hotel property.
Her work has been recognized throughout her career. She is proud to have her Oil paintings hang in The United States Headquarters building at Glen Eyrie in Colorado Springs, CO. Her works have been selected Best Of Show at The Taos Fall Arts Festival for both 2016 and 2017. Juried into The Salmagundi Art Club in New York City.

Workshops In Taos
Group oil painting art retreats may be scheduled in both Colorado Springs at the famous Broadmoor or at the Fine Art Atelier in Taos New Mexico. You may schedule these retreats with 6 guests up to 12 for private and individual study, critique sessions ,and at easel instruction. Art retreats are focused on helping the seasoned painter build strong composition, vibrant color, and narrative essence of both the figure and landscape. 3 days, live models, Plein air combined with studio work. Kindly plan your event 1 month in advance. $575.00
